MENTAL HEALTH SESSION

Finding time to workout in this day in age can be tough! We, as Americans, struggle to find time for ourselves- odd to say, but bear with me. We focus the majority of our free time on building our careers, earning cash, growing families, and feeding our desires. Many of us come up with excuses like, “6am is way too early to get up just to do cardio” or “after work all I want to do is nap.” I understand the hesitation with wanting to start something new that you’re unfamiliar with. However, it is possible to start something and there is time if you offer it.

As mentioned before, mornings are often some of the best times to workout. Whether it be simple stretches after rolling out of bed or going for a run, the fresh air and athletic induced medication helps bring peace of mind to your mornings as well as an initial metabolic boost. You don’t necessarily need to wake up at the crack of dawn to feel successfully worked out. It can become some what of a morning routine to help wake you up a little more- instead of drinking that fourth cup of coffee.

Of course, if you’re not a morning person, there is always the afternoon to start your athletic kick. Some people need sustenance to help build their energies up during the day before pumping some iron. Another great benefit for working out at this part of the day, is the fact that the weather outside is reaching it’s peak in temperature- making it a more pleasant experience. If you’re heading to the gym, the facility is normally less busy also! Most people get their workouts in either before or after work typically.

And lastly, the evening is always a fantastic time to wrap up your day with a little extra blood pumping exercise. It allows you to make up for all the lost steps you missed while sitting through that 3-hour long conference meeting. It allows you to unwind and decompress from the day on the treadmill. It allows you to participate in more group-run workout sessions, allowing you to meet new people and make new friends. And if you’re a night owl, there are plenty of 24/7 gyms around to allow you to work out at your own pace.

Anytime is a great time to work out. You just need to make the time. And if fear of not knowing how to workout is what’s stopping you, then fear no more! Level Red Boxing has trainers ready to help break down each step, each move, and each benefit to what and why you’re working out.
