Healthy Cocktails – 21 and Over Club

Happy Holidays everyone!

With the coming festivities it can be hard to celebrate to your full potential with the rest of the crew, especially when you’re on a diet. Many popular alcoholic beverages are high in sugar and carbs which make it difficult to stay on track with your diets. The trick to drinking “healthily” is by avoiding concentrated juices, mixers, sugary sodas, and stick to drinking “clear” beer, liquor, or white wines. The thing to keep in mind is drinking fresh ingredients. They have less additives and are more likely to be of “sipping” quality. It’s also always important to keep hydrated when drinking!

We don’t want you to feel left out this season! So, here are some tasty drinks that won’t make you feel guilty the next morning!

Vodka Soda:

65 Calories/per ounce of vodka, and the soda is calorie free!

Strawberry Mojito:

115 Calories/per 8 ounces.

.5 cup strawberries chopped into small pieces

1 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoons warm water

2 tablespoons of lime juice

2 tablespoons of mint leaves packed

2oz white rum

1 cups club soda

 

Peach Bellinis:

180 Calories/per 8 ounces.

2 medium ripe peaches

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 Tablespoon sugar (see note)

1 bottle chilled sparkling white wine

 

Tom Collins Cocktail:

191 Calories/per 8 ounces

2 ounces of Gin

2 ounces of club soda

3/4 fluid ounce lemon juice

1/2 fluid ounce simple syrup
