Fitness Trackers

Technology has done us all a solid with the abundance of fitness trackers that have become available. There is no shortage of effective tools for tracking and managing our fitness and other health metrics. You do not need a fitness tracker to reach your fitness goals, but there are benefits to using one to monitor your daily activity and track your progress. Regularly wearing a fitness tracker means you’re more likely to:

  • Reach daily movement goals (like 10,000 daily steps)
  • Achieve larger fitness goals (like losing weight or running a marathon)
  • Keep your fitness and wellness goals top of mind
  • Maintain motivation toward completing your goals

Choosing the best fitness tracker for your needs depends on a few factors, like:

  • What you’re going to use it for?
  • The type of smartphone you have
  • Your budget

Features to look for:

  • Workout tracking: Look for one that recognizes and tracks the types of workouts you’ll be doing.
  • Built-in GPS: Look for watches with built-in GPS to accurately record activity.
  • Health metrics: Find one that tracks the metrics you’re interested in knowing.
  • Battery life: Ideally lasting a full day between charges and can track a marathon-length activity.
  • Durability: A fitness tracker should be water resistant.
  • Connected apps
