Shape Up Those Arms!

You have that gorgeous new sleeveless dress ready and waiting. What better than to look into ways to shape up those arms! Are you looking to get going on arm exercises but do not have the time to get to the gym? Do you have a set of dumbbells on hand? There are several easy-to-implement arm exercises you may consider to get started. Here, we will cover a few!

 

Lateral Raise

Working the triceps and shoulder muscles, this exercise is easy-to-do!

  • Holding a dumbbell in each hand with arms by your side, stand up straight with knees slightly bent.
  • Keep a slight bend at your elbow, raise your arms up and out to the side. Keep level at your shoulder with palms facing downward.
  • Slowly lower your arms and repeat 8-12 times.

 

Dumbbell Punch

This exercise works the triceps, shoulders, and lats. It will tone and sculpt your arms overtime for sure!

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, keep knees slightly bent while holding your dumbbells in each hand.
  • Raise up your arms and alternate punching them out while keeping your dumbbells at a shoulder level.
  • Make sure you allow your hips to move with these arm movements. Repeat for as many repetitions you are comfortable with.

Bicep Curl

These exercises shape up and strengthen your upper arm.

  • Hold the dumbbell in your hand of choice while standing about a shoulder-width apart.
  • Stay palm-facing-up as you bend your elbow and raise your dumbbell up towards your shoulder.
  • Lower your arm back down slowly and repeat 8-12 repetitions. Switch arms upon completion.
